As a RN I have a varied background, with my hospital experience being centered on NICU nursing. In other settings I have experience in Public Health, School Nursing, and Developmental Pediatrics. I have worked as a Nurse Recruiter for the VA Health Systems, gaining HR and management experience. I have also worked as a RN Administrator for a large local health unit. In 2012 I received my Doctorate of Nursing Practice, as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, in Memphis, TN. I am currently certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner, as well as the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I have practiced in Women's Health, Primary Care, and Urgent Care Settings. I am currently work full time in a setting where I am able to maintain Primary Care and Urgent Care skills, as well as provide Worker's Compensation, Travel, and Immigration Services.  Syllabus for Advanced Clinical Diagnosis and Practice across the Lifespan Practicum-Wallace 8/25/19, 4*53 PM https://chamberlain.instructure.com/courses/48428/assignments/syllabus Page 2 of 12 Course Information Course Number: NR603 Course Title: Advanced Clinical Diagnosis and Practice Across the Lifespan Course Credits: 3 Credits (Theory .4, Clinical 2.6) 6/0/125/3 Course Prerequisites: Prerequisite (students enrolled prior to May 2019): NR-500, NR-501, NR-503, NR505, NR-506, NR-507, NR-508, NR-509, NR-510, NR-511, NR-512, NR-601, NR602 Prerequisite (effective May 2019): NR-500NP, NR-501NP, NR-503, NR-505NP, NR-506NP, NR-507, NR-509, NR-511, NR-565, NR-566, NR-599, NR-601, NR-602 Course Description This course continues to expand the theoretical and practical knowledge of diagnostic principles specific to the role of the FNP, for the healthcare needs of individuals of all ages. Students will further develop their skills related to health promotion, prevention of illness, diagnosis, and management of complex acute and chronic conditions, including behavioral health. Care strategies will include patient education, protocol development, follow-up, and referral through a clinical practicum experience in a precepted advanced practice setting.
