We will implement the process of change by doing pre-approved protocol on patients in the lobby. Protocols are standard orders the physicians put in place for each patient health complaint. Completing these protocols will give the doctors results of labs, electrocardiogram, Xray, and other test specific to the complaint, prior to seeing the patient. This will decrease the wait times in the Emergency Department. Protocol Patients While Waiting Role of Innovative Nurse Leader As innovators, the Registered Nurse act as agents of change in driving processes of policy and leveraging technology that impacts both care delivery and those who deliver care. The change includes development of nurse led innovations, policy to support innovations, and input in the innovation process.
