MEMORANDUM TO: Dara Khosrowshah, CEO FROM: Ariel Vallarino, University of Illinois Student DATE: March 10, 2020 SUBJECT: Uber Mission statement Proposal and Business Model Analysis I would like t... o propose this new mission statement because mentions the core of the business, the objectives and finally, what it takes to reach those objectives. It also shapes the company’s culture. I also include a business model analysis using a VARS framework to show the key elements of success of the company. New mission statement: “Bring opportunity and improve people's lives with the best transportation service” The following components can be linked to this mission statement: - Bring Opportunity: Uber promote the right application of technology alongside good partnership to create an environment that promotes to have enough potential to aspire change in the lives of the drivers economically. - Improve People's Lives: While transport is the primary objective of this company, Uber has other convenience services and care for its customers. The company has incorporated delivery components such as “Uber Eats” to help people order and deliver foods at attractive rates. And, has special health care rides like “Uber health” to offer its customers a safe and fast support to acquire the healthcare they need. Through these services, the company has shown it is a reliable and dependable partner for all. - The Best Transportation Service. The diversification of the services of the company to include road and air travels among other unique customer-tailored services has made Uber a company of choice for all. This statement draws attention to what the company is all about treating its customers to memorable services. I also include an Uber’s VARS analysis that shows the key reasons of its success.
