Voice Recording and Scenar... io questions: 1. What issues do you hear in the monologue that may be related to Judy’s change in mental status? Judy is starting to show signs of hallucinating. Judy hears things out of the ordinary, she is having a difficult time processing the things she is hearing. 2. What are Karen’s strengths? Karen helps her mother out by living in home with her mother. It helps Judy because her daughter has her in home with her to help her with daily life. 3. What concerns do you have for Judy and/or Karen? I have concerns for Judy as she is started to show worse onset signs of hallucinations and trouble processing normal daily events and communication. 4. What other information would you like to have? If I knew more info prior to the current living situation it would help understand more of the whole big picture situation. 5. How do the recent changes in Judy’s health complicate Karen’s ability to manage her health care needs? Karen is a sweet daughter for caring for her mother the best that she can but difficulties can show with the hard work it is to take in her mother and not knowing how Judy will progress with some of these issues is concerning. Voice Recording: Judy is having major alterations in mental focus. She is having confusion, disorientation not aware of the time or people around her. Judy is having unusual strange poor behavior and she is very disruptive who panics and has a severe aggression. Karen is very soft hearted and gentle and strong. She has this ability to summarize the dignity that her mother has and how she was raised and has stories of her brothers and sisters and parents. Emotional about her father’s death. It was nice that her mother moved back home with her. She wants to take care of her mother. She is starting to have concerns about her mother becoming more aggressive and more lost. She doesn’t want to leave her alone. Feeling very overwhelmed. Scenario 1: With Judy showing agitation while in the hospital I am seeing increased difficulty for Judy to be taken care of soley by her daughter Karen. Karen also shows to be overwhelmed and that it is too much to take on this care by herself, it seems that Karen is seeing that more medical issues are occurring that she doesn’t know how to [Show More]
