Creatine Kinase – this is used to detect acute myocardial infarction and to evaluate possible causes of chest pain and severity of ischemia; his result was 20 ng/mL (normal = 0- 4.9 ng/mL) Troponin – used to detect and diagnose acute MI and evaluate possible causes of chest pain; his was 2.2 ng/mL (normal – 0-0.1 ng/mL) Angina (chest pain) – Angina pectoris is the result of myocardial ischemia caused by an imbalance between myocardial blood supply and oxygen demand.
