Characters:  Bowaon - major character; an impatient and envious man; a friend of Totoon  Totoon - major character; a kind and optimi... stic man; friend of Bowaon  King - minor character; a kind one for accommodating Bowaon and Totoon and giving them job but turned out to be an ill-tempered king who gets easily upset and do not listen for other’s explanations  Princess - minor character, wife of Totoon  Fishes - the tiny fishes caught but Totoon returned to the reef; sooner they help him in return  Dead stranger - helped by Totoon by digging a grave and prayed over him; sooner he help him get a better job in the palace  Baby eagles - the eagles in need in the story  Mother Eagle - the mother of the baby eagles who repay Totoon ‘s kindness IV. Setting: The events in the story took place on the reef wherein they caught the tiny fishes, along the way wherein they saw a dead man and baby eagles, and on the palace wherein they were given work. V. Literary Analysis This literary piece is a prose, fiction, and classified as a folktale. The story of Bowaon and Totoon is passed through Sorrosa, Andrea Gail generations. The events and characters were just imagined and it focuses on kindness of a man. This kind of story has happy endings and surely inspires its readers.
