(Allied Health Sciences) COURSE: 2017 Introduction B.Sc. (Allied Health Sciences), a (3-year course work + 1-year internship) program under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, is aimed at training students to prepare them as qualified physician assistants who will be able to meticulously assist the concerned specialist in handing the various illnesses. This program is a taught course that covers relevant topics and specialized areas of knowledge as opted. The aim of this B.Sc. Program is to provide a thorough training to the candidates through formal lectures and/or seminars and practical programs which culminate in a one year internship that finally prepares the student for the rigors of the medical world. 1. Short Title and Commencement These Regulations shall be called the “Regulations for B.Sc. (Allied Health Sciences) Course” o f BIHER. These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force from the academic year 2017-18. These regulations are subject to modifications as may be approved by the Academic council from time to time. 2. Eligibility for Admission a) A candidate desiring to join the (3-year course work + 1-year internship) programme, leading to the degree B.Sc. (Allied Health Sciences) should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent examination with one of the following subject combinations: i) Physics, Chemistry, Biology ii) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology b) A candidate shall, at the time of admission submit to the Head of the Institution, a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized Medical Officer certifying that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course and does not suffer from any disability or contagious disease.
