Data Collection History of Presenting Problem: Angie Reid is a 41-old Caucasian woman who has been healthy with no previous medical history. About 6 months ago, Angie noticed a small palpable lump... in her left breast about the size of a pea. She assumed it was nothing due to her healthy diet and weight, so she ignored it. Over the last month, she has noted that this lump has been increasing in size and is closer to the size of an almond. She went to see her Physician, who ordered a mammogram. Her mammogram confirmed a 4.5 cm. mass. In order to find out what the mass is they ordered an ultrasound guided biopsy. This biopsy confirmed the presence of cancer. The cancer is also present in 2 of her lymph nodes. An MRI scan was also completed and showed a small tumor on her left lung. The plan is to place a central port later this afternoon so that chemotherapy can start as soon as possible. Angie has 3 children under the age of 12. She has no personal history of breast cancer but states one of her Aunts had breast cancer but she was a heavy smoker. She has never smoked. She lives with her husband in a small quiet community.
