The company was founded by Chan Dong-hwa in the 1985, focusing on household electrical kitchen appliances. While the company had its corporate office in Hong Kong, its factory was located in Foshan, Asia. Kitchen Best grew rapidly and started to serve other markets including Europe and the US. The headcount at the company expanded from 80 to 1,500 in 2003, with approximately 30 staff working in management, logistics and administration in Hong Kong, and the rest based in the Foshan factory.
