ISOC Bayyinah Program The Story of Jibreel (As) Shaykh Omar Suleiman 3/27/15 **These are my own personal notes, which I typed up based on my hand-written notes from the seminar. I apologize ahe... ad of time if I made any grammatical errors, misspelled any names/places, or misunderstood an idea presented by the speaker. All good is from Allah and any mistakes are due to my own shortcomings.** Space is not silent! o It was proved by NASA that space is constantly making a humming sound, almost as if the universe is in perpetual Ibaadat (worship of Allah One of the tenants of Islam is to believe in the unseen o The Angels are a specific category of the unseen o Even the pagans of Makkah believed in the Angels, except they believed that they were the daughters of their gods In Islam we believe that the Angels and the prophets are infallible creations o They do not disobey Allah Judeo/Christians don’t believe in jinn, rather they believe in the existence of Dark Angels o They also believe that these Dark Angels were created from fire In Islam we believe that the Angels are created from Noor (light), one of the purest and most beautiful of Allah’s creations o We also believe that the Angels have forms and personalities o We believe that the Angels outnumber the Shaiateen in creation What is the size of an Angel? o Let us paint a picture NO Muslim prays except that he/she has Angels the size of mountains praying with him/her We believe that the greater the task, the greater the size of the Angel This makes Jibreel (As) the biggest since “he” (keep in mind that Angels are genderless) was responsible for carrying Allah’s message to the prophets The distance from Jibreel’s earlobe to his shoulder is approximately 700 years [Show More]
