Objectives A primary purpose of this lab is for you to become familiar and observe underdamped and overdamped responses of ... a capacitor’s voltage to a square-wave pulse. In this experiment, we predict and experimentally verify particular details of the complete response of an RLC circuit. Natural responses of RLC circuits are generated by the release of energy by the inductor or capacitor (or both) as a consequence of an abrupt change in the voltage or current in the circuit.
