Vijay Rao, a 60 year old male, has a past medical history of hypertension well controlled with ACE inhibitors, heartburn, which at his last appointment was discussed to start proton pump inhibitors (P... PIs) but he declined, smoker for 35 years; 1 pack per day, alcohol use, and bilateral knee pain. At last appointment, Mr. Rao was resistant to smoking and alcohol cessation despite his father dying of lung cancer at age 70 and brother dying from alcoholism at age 52. He presented with worsening epigastric pain that he noticed about 6-8 months ago but is now more bothersome. [Show More]
