The plaintiff in this case, Mr. Margolin, who has a company that is located in New York, so one can assume that the plaintiff lives in New York due to work priorities. The court will allow personal jurisdiction even though the defendants, Chris, Matt, and Ian, live in California. As their products are sold on the Internet and marketed nationally, one can assume that the multiple products have been sold in New York. With this knowledge, the court will allow personal jurisdiction due to the defendants having minimum contacts in where the state is (Kubaek, n.d., pg. 41).
