PHY 114 Lab Report 7: Current Balance. Arizona State University.ABSTRACT: The goal of this lab was to prove the definition of an ampere by studying small forces between two parallel current carryin... g conductors. The conductors were set at equilibrium and contact positions and several measurements were taken to help calculate the distance between the conductors. Thus value allowed the calculation of the theoretical slope of the experiment. Gradually increasing masses were put on the set up, the current was gradually changed to match the equilibrium current. These currents were plotted and the average of the slopes gave the experimental values of the experiment. An error of 21.12% was found to be negligible. The experiment was completed successfully.
