: This is a 76-year-old obese female with a past medical history significant for hypertension, CKD, and peptic ulcer disease with GI bleeding, who presents with increasing bilateral knee pain. The pat... ient states the pain started approximately 5 years ago and has continued to worsen, especially over the past year. Her pain is fairly constant but worsens after walking about a block in distance or up stairs. She describes the pain as debilitating, usually a 4 or 5 but sometimes reaching a 7 or 8 out of 10 and is described as stiff and achy. The pain is worse in the right knee and tends to radiate towards the ankle, she denies radiation in the left leg. She describes the pain as being worse with cold weather and in the morning but has no noticeable alleviating factors. Historically she would use ibuprofen to treat the pain however she developed a peptic ulcer with GI bleeding so had to discontinue NSAIDs she now takes acetaminophen as needed for pain. [Show More]
