This short note shows in a ready-to-see manner why the law of lever works. Centroid of a triangle is also discussed in a physical consideration. Based on my teaching experience, many students have st... udied the law of lever, memerized it and applies it to solve problems. Most of them accept this law as a experimental facts, few of them know that this law is a logical consequence of the basic facts that a rod could be balanced with a support rod at the middle. Although some of them knows that it could be proved, NONE of them could give a proof in a ready-to-see manner. In the simplest way, this short note shows why the law of lever works.
