Examine and improve your work Unit 3 Activity 6 Fences Aren’t for Sitting on Assignment Right Writing Rebounds The edited series of paragraphs: Are sixteen years old immature and incapable of handling a vehicle? Should the law governing teen driving be changed? In this paper, I will discuss the reasons why the driving age should be raised to eighteen, presenting three solid arguments that everyone should consider. Firstly, the minimum driving age should be raised to at least eighteen. From my point of view, even twenty. Why? Because eighteen years old or older are more responsible and have a much more focused mind. Some people might argue that there is little difference between these two ages. Teenagers tend to be careless and to tell you the truth, being cautious is the number one thing when driving. Secondly, even if sixteen years old would drive accompanied by an adult with five years of driving experience, this will not provide traffic safety. So, this is my second argument for raising the driving age: safety reasons. Thirdly, I think riding a bicycle and public transportation should be promoted. Public campaigns promoting public transportation in the city should be implemented. Or, even better, we should take into consideration the reduction of car use in the city, and we could easily switch to bicycles! To sum up, I think I have all the necessary arguments to convince anyone that the driving age should be raised to eighteen years old. [Show More]
