Media are communication tools such as newspapers, TV, magazines, and radio. So the term digital media refers to communication tools that involve a computer in some way. Technically, listening to the radio from your laptop or reading the newspaper on your tablet counts as digital media, but the term is evolving to mean something different. Like broadcast media (TV, radio, newspaper), digital media can send information to many people at once. But digital media forms also invite interaction—posting a comment, rating shows on Netflix, and posting photos on Instagram, for example.
