The Vigilance Project (Case Study) The Vigilance Project is a case study which has a main focus on the process of conflict. The project is based on the conflict that has been raised within Pharmed I... nternational (Major International Pharmaceutical Company), which formed by acquisition of ValMed, a Swiss-based company with extensive U.S operations, by PharmaCO, a French-based company. And in this case study we learn about the conflicts that can arise within the organization and this is one of the best examples to show and analysis the conflicts that may arise in an organization.  Why is this case about team conflict? What conflicts do you see developing? Team conflict is a problem that arises in an organization where there is no understanding between the team members on certain topic or on certain point. We can also understand team conflict as an interpersonal problem that occurs between the team members due to which the team and the members along with the team cannot perform their work at the best level, team conflict arises due to the disbalance between the members on their perceptions, values, goals, culture or education (Lewinson, Linman, & Team, 2018). Here in the Vigilance Project, we see that there is misunderstanding and different perception on the thinking of all the members at their place. There is a conflict between the teams as the workflow has been distributed between the U.S and France members, so that the workflow is distributed in the way so that the system automatically passes work from one user to the next. As the U.S based team were most of the core and sub team members of ValMed, where they had been looking forward to working on the initiative, an put their effort to develop a similar system called Perspective, but several months later the newly merged organization decided to scrap Perspective.
