Solution: Major Neurocognitive Disorder The case scenario assigned is that of Mr. Akkad, a 76-year-old Iranian male brought to the hospital by his son, who complains that his father has been showing “strange behavior” over the past two years. The client has lost interest in religious activities and has become critical to everyone. The things he used to take seriously has now become amusement or ridicule. The client has also become forgetful and it has become challenging to find the right words during communication from the mental examination, the client has been diagnosed with major neurocognitive disorder.
