It will affect the lungs by mucous on the membranes, the child will be suffering from difficulty breathing 2. Tonsillectomy: a. Child has been suffering streptococcus, influenza disease or any other respiratory infection. b. Inflammation of tonsils, when the tonsils get swollen, the airways get restricted or obstructed. c. Interventions are ice chips to decrease the inflammation of the airways after being affected by a trigger d. After surgery after surgery NPO status is important until the gag reflexes come back. No orange juice, something red to prevent confusion with blood cranberry juice or vanilla shake due to thickness 3. acute laringo trachea bronchitis (inflammation of larynx, trachea, and bronchious): a. it is cause by strep which is an irritation of the respiratory tract b. sx/s: coarseness (barking stridor) , no relatively little temperature (fever) c.
