BitGold is an international firm that offers payment and savings services. It combines the digital currencies such as bitcoin and the blockchain technology. Although it was going public and is based in Canada, it sought to attract clients from across the globe, and most notably in the developing countries. Although BitGold’s IPO was done in Canada, the firm was eyeing new clients from developing countries in the world. In this context, the firm should focus on appealing to African countries, Latin America, and the Middle East. These developing countries are in their growth phase, and would be highly receptive of the idea of a digital currency that is transparent and efficient. In these countries where there is a gap in digital payment services, BitGold could attract clients by offering much-needed payment and savings services to the clients.
