Discussion: With the input of increasing volts, it effects the heat (Q) and work (W). Both Q and W increase as the supply volts increase because having more with higher voltage, more current is goin... g through the heat pump and engine and more work will be able to be done with more voltage. As the supply volts is increased, the percent energy recovered will decrease. This is because increasing the input voltage does not increase the energy generated by the heat engine at the same rate. Hence, a slightly lower energy recovery each time the input voltage is increased. As the input voltage increases, the energy lost increases in heat pump mode and heat engine mode as well. The change in temperature will be the least in 2V. The change in temperature increases as the input voltage increases and there will be the highest change in temperature at 6V. And because the change in temperature increases as the input voltage increases, it means that as the input voltage increases, the more energy is transferred. And if more energy is transferred, the more energy is lost in the process. The energy is mostly conserved in this experiment and follows the first law of thermodynamics.
