1. Explain what information sources are used for the data and documentation that they use in their work activities I will gather information documentation from my Line Manager or Project Engineer. I... can also access the company intranet for documentation - I can get information such as Employee Handbook, Health and Safety information and Risk and Method statements. I can get data online from regulation bodies and government websites. If I need information for a particular product I can search the manufactures website or guidebook. There are COSHH documents and building guides in our workshop. Technical manuals are kept in stores. 2. Explain how documents are obtained, and how to check that they are current and valid Job cards and wiring diagrams are obtained from our project engineers that are overlooking that particular job. I check they are current by the looking at the date, check what version of drawing and if it is the latest and job number. I can check documents are up to date online and by the date they were published. 3. Explain the basic principles of confidentiality (including what information should be available and to whom) 1. At Powerstar all information that:- a. is or has been acquired by you during, or in the course of your employment, or has otherwise been acquired by you in confidence; b. relates particularly to our business, or that of other persons or bodies with whom we have dealings of any sort; and c. has not been made public by, or with our authority; shall be confidential, and (save in the course of our business or as required by law) you shall not at any time, whether before or afer the termination of your employment, disclose such information to any person without our prior written consent. 2. You are to exercise reasonable care to keep safe all documentary or other material containing confidential information, and shall at the time of termination of your employment with us, or at any other time upon demand, return to us any such material in your possession. 3. You may not during or afer the termination of your employment (without the limit) use or disclose or allow to be used or disclosed (other than in the proper course of your duties) any confidential information relating to us (or any Group company) or our (or their) business, clients or customers. For these purposes confidential information means any information which is commercially sensitive or which may not be readily available to others engaged in a similar business to the Company or to the general public, including but not limited to (add specific items).
