Behind the scenes of the program there is another variable called ‘percentage_score’ which is set by taking the variable ‘maths_test_score’ and multiplying this by 1.25. After this calculation is completed the owl is then instructed to combine the variable ‘percentage_score’ and the ‘%’ symbol together to give an output of ‘90%’. With this there is a ‘maths_challenge_list’ where if any pupil scores more then 75% this will then set them into this list. This is done by taking the variable ‘percentage_score’ and checking to see if it is higher than 75%, which it is, so the output to this is the variable ‘name’ now gets added to the list, in this case, ‘Faria’.
