#Recyclenergy Prepared for: ……….. Prepared by: ……….. SOCS 325 Environmental Sociology #Recyclenergy live chat In over two weeks, I have prepared mysel... f for my twitter live chat. I will begin by explaining what a twitter chat is, & why is important to participate in a twitter chat. A Twitter chat is where a group of Twitter users meet at a pre-determined time to discuss a certain topic, using a designated hashtag (#) for each tweet contributed. A host or moderator will pose questions to prompt responses from participants & encourage interaction among the group. Chats typically last an hour.Twitter chats provide a chance to network & grow your circle through shared interests. Through our buffer chats, we’ve discovered a whole host of useful tools, tips, & super savvy people whom we might not have otherwise connected with. I prepared myself for this chat by following very important advices from people that have succeeded on their twitter chats before. For example, I was able to join three twitter chats in order to feel the flow, the speed, ad the types of interactions I would like to see as host. Also, I had prepared a catchy hashtag that is also related to the message I want to deliver. I have prepared popular questions that people might ask, & I will also have a few websites opened in order to answer the questions efficiently & promptly. I have chosen a one special guest to answer my questions. Her name is Ximena, a coworker & an undergraduate student who’s major is psychology. I have asked Ximena six questions & she said she did some type of research before the twitter chat, in order to answer the questions as best as possible. Here are the questions I decided to ask, & the answers provided by Ximena; What are the financial benefits of solar energy? “After doing a brief research, I was able to find a lot of benefits for the environment, & financial benefits as well. The most obvious financial benefit of solar power is that it can lower your utility bills. It’s a simple equation. Any power you produce yourself through your solar panels is power that you don’t have to purchase from the utility. Also, installing solar panels can increase your home's value by at least the cost of the system.” What are the environmental benefits of solar energy? “Solar energy reduces air pollution. Our traditional energy source are leading contributors to global warming & decreased air quality. But generating electricity with solar panels produces no greenhouse gasses whatsoever. That's a huge step towards reducing the human impact of climate change.” How much will solar panel maintenance cost? “At first, I had of how much panel maintenance cost, & I thought it would be expensive, because it is new for everyone & they look somewhat fragile & fancy as well. I did some research at different websites that I do not recall now, but I was able to find out that solar panel systems are made of durable tempered glass & require little to no maintenance for the 25 to 35 years that they will generate power. You don’t even need to clean your solar panels regularly. If something does happen, most equipment manufacturers include warranties, although warranty terms depend on the company.” Where are solar panels commonly used?” I have no idea, I would guess the United States is the largest country in the world that uses solar panels, because the United states is the country with the greatest potential & economy. I would also believe it could be Japan or China because they use a lot of energy as well.” I was able to inform Ximena that Germany has by far the highest capacity of solar photovoltaic power (PV) in the world at 32,4 GW.What can you do to volunteer or donate? “The best thing I would recommend is to research! There are a lot of campaigns that people can make donations & if you are in the right area, you should be able to volunteer as well. Volunteering such as translating & organizing many events.” How does solar impact my property values? “Installing solar panels would make your house more desirable to potential buyers, ensuring that when you decide to sell, your house would sell faster than others without solar power.” Reference List • “Solar FAQs.” EnergySage, 2017, www.energysage.com/solar/solar-faq/. • Charles, et al. “Top 10 Benefits of Going Solar.” Energy Informative, 2014, energyinformative.org/benefits-of-solar-panels/. • “The Environmental & Public Health Benefits of Achieving High Penetration of Solar Energy in the United States.” Department of Energy, 2016, www.energy.gov/eere/solar/downloads/environmental-and-public-health-benefits-achieving- high-penetration-solar. In these times i feel that adherence to documentation & making sure that everything is exactly right is very difficult. I have 5 patients as a standard shift load. As the day progresses there are possibly at least 3 discharges & because of that 3 possible admissions. In which this might be a little difficult as both the process of admission & making sure that everything is detailed to make sure that we document everything so that we cover the bases of how we received the patient are critical not only to the continuity of care but also for refund purposes. As we move on to the discharge section that is another long process in which we must also document & explain everything as to how they are, what they are being taught, if they understood & making sure that they are going to adhere to the recommendations. This is important as we let our patients back & for some reason they don't follow instructions & something happens in which they have to come back to the hospital within 30 days we do not get refunded for the work that we did the previous visit. The documentation in times like this is critical. With this type of work load it can sometimes be difficult to manage & juggle all of the responsibilities of the day, & make sure that everything has been done.
