The heart, arteries, veins, and capillaries are the primary organs in these systems. The pathophysiological process within the cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary system depends on several factors. For instance, the low pressure of the cardiopulmonary system enables the lungs to have more time for interaction with the blood in the lymphatic systems. Therefore, the efficiency of the lungs in the provision of oxygen to the blood and elimination of carbon dioxide from the blood increases at low pressure. On the other hand, high cardiopulmonary pressure is unfavorable for efficient gaseous exchange in the lungs. The lymphatic system is responsible for the transportation of the macrophages and dendritic cells that are responsible for the activation of the Type B and Type T lymphocytes. The lymphocytes are used in the protection of the body against infections (McCance & Huether, 2019). The rate of the heartbeat influences the pressure of the blood in the cardiovascular system. The problem is the rate of heartbeat either fast (tachycardia) or too slow (bradycardia) is referred to as dysrhythmia. The changes in the level of the electrical impulse of the heart (pacemaker) lead to dysrhythmias.
