TX should be limited to 4-8 weeks o Sucralfate and ciprofloxacin teaching Sucralfate- antiulcer med with minimal side effects and no significant drug interactions. Promotes ulcer healing by creating a protective barrier from acid. Does NOT decrease acid secretion. Ciprofloxacin- Sucralfate can impede the absorption of this drug, take 2 hours apart. o Cimetidine- Histamine 2 Receptor Antagonist, treats ulcers by suppressing gastric acid secretion.
