This is accomplished through analyzing data and trends for errors to develop new and more efficient programs. Nurse informaticists facilitate improvements in patient care and decrease the cost of care by increasing productivity while concurrently enhancing patient care outcomes. This is done by interpreting and analyzing medical data to enhance the delivery of patient care while reducing the cost (Carroll, Summer, 2019). Nurse informaticists may have several of roles within different facilities as they help address interoperability with electronic medical records. This is done by assessing the facilities' informational needs, evaluating products and venders, and facilitating product installation (Kearney-Nunnery, 2020).
