NR 601 WEEKLY CLINICAL GOALS

This week clinical is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Since my preceptor has been planning to go to the Haiti mission between 6 and 7 weeks of our class, I am trying to do more clinical days earlier... as much as possible. My clinical goals for this week are concurrent with week 3’s course outcome. I will concentrate on and familiarize with the geriatric assessment tools and psychiatric disorders screening tools, including anxiety, depression, and sleep disorder. For this course, I have a different preceptor and practice in a very busy facility from the last course. My preceptor has two students including me, one from another school. She let us see different patients, chart and come out with plans and we discuss the plans of care then we go back together to see patients, or she comes in while I am with patient. The first week was very challenging; however, I think that I am starting to get it. She is always emphasizing the focus problems up to the max 2 at a visit and use of most current CPG which is very practical. I am learning a lot!
