The health care system in United States is most expensive in the world. Despite the high expenditure, United States fails to obtain the desirable health outcomes relative to other countries. A growing number of Americans have come under coverage due to Affordable care Act that was passed in 2009. United States and UK share close historical and cultural ties but when it comes to the health care system, there are vast differences. It is true that some similarities have observed in the health care system between the two countries. Both U.S and U.K are struggling with increasing health expenditure and both the nations have instituted significant reforms within the boundaries of the system aiming to make the care better. But there is a striking difference between the two. This report gains a deep insight on a comparative analysis of US health care system with UK health care system Comparative analysis in terms of Health care outcome: UK’s health care system is characterized by National Health Insurance that makes everyone covered as a matter of right. On contrast, private health care market dominates in US where millions of Americans are still remain uninsured. US health insurance is no doubt complex and has its own culture. Critics advocate US health care system as chaotic and confusing. People in US are confused about how to get the health care and how to pay for the service. But people UK do not have to be worried about such issues. In all the key health outcome indicators like quality, efficiency, access and equity, United States ranks beyond the other major western countries.
