Patient reports only sleeping 4-5 hours a ni... ght when she prefers 8. Characteristics: associated with excessive worrying prior to falling asleep. Patient states that she has "racing thoughts" prior to falling asleep. Exhausted upon awakening in the morning. Aggravating factors: stress, having "racing thoughts" prior to falling asleep. Worried about an upcoming exam for her CPA certification, finding employment as a CPA, and moving out in to her own place. Relieving factors: distraction from the thoughts that are causing stress. Treatment: None. Denies taking any sleep aids or prescribed hypnotics. Denies exercise.
