Corporate Social Responsibility Corporate social responsibility is an organization's expressed goal to contribute to society's well-being through philanthropy, volunteer activities, environmental improvements, and ethically-orientated practices (Trevino, 2017). Walmart's Code of conduct is focused solely on obtaining and maintaining the trust of their customers, communities, associates, and business partners. Their motto is that "integrity builds trust," and they firmly believe that establishing this trust gives them a competitive advantage over their competitors.
