Here, I will cover two such systems: HealthShare Patient Index and Clinical Decision Support. HealthShare Patient Index œOne patient, one record is the ideal, but its difficult to achieve (InterSystems.com, n.d.). HealthShare Patient Index is an enterprise master patient index (EMPI) that provides an automated and easily integrated solution for creating a œsingle source of truth for patient identity and demographic information.
