C572 Task3.docx Classroom Management Plan Western Governors University A.Classroom Management Philosophy My main goal in my classroom is to have an open learning environment. I want all of my s... tudents to feel loved and accepted. In my classroom we will support each other and never bring other students down. It will be a positive atmosphere and a safe environment. As for a philosophy statement, the best to describe my classroom would be, “within the reward system, students will be self disciplined attempting to retain their rewards. This system will be accompanied with positive reinforcement to establish a productive class setting†(Good & Brophy,2003). I believe when kids are aiming for a reward and are positively reinforced they perform better due to self management. Overall, I want my students to come to the classroom knowing they are in a safe learning environment. No ideas are unheard. Peers support one another and we all work together to learn new things. I want a student-centered environment. B.Classroom Rules I want to begin my school year with the students helping me create the rules. When students are actively engaged in the classroom they perform better. They abide by the rules because they created them. (Williams,2009). They have meaning behind them.
