On average we have six to ten adult residents living in our group home. These residents have a number of mental impairments. I was recently brought a situation in which medications have not been given at the set times, as well as some mediations have been missing. An action plan needs to be implemented to ensure quality care for the residents. AffordableCareAct In March 2010 the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law. While this act was designed to help American™s receive insurance coverage while increasing the quality of care. The intent of the Affordable Care Act was to ensure that Americans could have access to quality health care. While also making the insurance rates more affordable. The law is more than just promoting health care for American™s. The Affordable Care Act requires employers to provide a safe, clean area that a mother can pump while breastfeeding, As well as making calories more known when dining in a restaurant. The Affordable Care Act also helped to improve access to the coverage of prescription medications.
