CJ230_Unit_7_Assignment.docx Unit 6 Assignment Purdue Global CJ340 Introduction This weeks assignment was to interview professionals in the criminal justice, law, or prison system and spea... k to them about the ethics and how they are applied in their career field. I chose to interview two people that have years of experiences and find their professional opinion in their career field regarding the ethical training, importance of ethics, and misconduct. Through this interview I believe that I gained some sort of insight into the criminal justice career field and how ethical theories are perceived and applied in their duties and others in the career field. By examining the opinions of those currently or previously in the career field, we can better understand the ethical dilemmas we currently face in the criminal justice occupation and how we can learn from the past to, hopefully, change the future. The Interviewees The first person I interviewed was an Officer First Class (OFC) Jared Bridges from the Arlington Police Department. OFC Bridges has been in the department for about 4 years after 6 years of Active Duty Military experience where he served as a Military Policemen. He has studied criminal justice, receiving his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and currently working on his Masters Degree. Secondly, I interviewed an Eric Francum, an Air Force defense lawyer for the Judge Advocate General. Mr. Francum was on officer in the Army serving as a Tank Commander for four years.
