According to my understanding from the textbook, Professional nursing practice deals with gathered data and analyzed and interpreted those data to form a conclusion which is the essence of nursing science. In the assessment process, as a professional nurse, he will use the knowledge from his previous basic sciences concepts, such as anatomy, physiology, psychology, and chemistry to determine the patient’s immediate needs. In the past, he got the knowledge of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to ascertain the immediate need of the patient and base his conclusion. When it comes to clinical practice, is involve the standard set to implement nursing care such as diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients’ medical conditions. For example, the patient has to be assessed, diagnosed, planned, implemented and do an evaluation to see if the patient is responding to the care. Nurse administrators are often responsible for large-scale policy planning, staff management, financial resource management, and business management, in addition to their core responsibilities of coordinating and supervising the delivery of healthcare. For example, during admission, the administration will ascertain the financial aspect such as if the patient has insurance or other resources for his health care need. The administration also takes manage the financial aspect of the nurses. Education is also important to the nursing process.
