The case analy... sis below shows the results of one patient, Teri, and some of the possible causes of her condition. The correlation of the patient's health to her conditions, as shown by the results, is discussed through the analysis. Her physician orders the results released after a test shows her hematocrit level is low; the vitamin B12 levels and oxygen levels are also low. The presence of autoantibodies against the parietal cell reveals the absence or non-performing parietal cells in her stomach, hence low vitamin 12.
