Currently libraries are quoted to be hubs that allow access to technology for residents of Ontario and have a huge social impact on overall technology services within the province. In 2017, TPL (Toronto Public Library) was listed as one of the world's busiest library systems and had more than 1.73 million visits to their 100 branches (Toronto Public Library,2018). Some may ask why it’s so important to invest in such a project, but it is because Toronto Public Library delivers such a strong return on investment through the delivery of library products and services that increase Toronto's overall competitiveness and appeals to a better quality of life (Toronto Public Library, 2018). The Toronto public library system needs to be changed in order to be up to date with the new technology everyone has in hand. By adding Kiosks to the foyer of all Toronto Public Library branches, it makes it easier for people coming in looking for a certain book and helps the library create an up-to-date database.
