Welcome to this collection of spooky routines. I hope you enjoy them, and more importantly I hope you manage to freak out your friends, customers, and guests with them! I have found in my past publ... ications that often the best way to describe a routine is to outline the script. The script generally will give you all the information you will need. Therefore in all the routines that follow the script, the actual words that are spoken by the performer, are written in normal text. Any words of advice, direction, or explanation are written in italics. Easy to remember – spoken word in normal text, advice and pointers in italics. All of the routines included here work best in a parlour environment for between perhaps 4 and 18 people, but they can just as readily be used in a one-on-one situation. As with all good magic, the trick element is simple (or simple enough). The real skill here is in the telling of the tale and the creation of the atmosphere. It is quite amazing the effect that the simple introduction of a few lighted candles and the turning off of electronic lights can have on a room. With shadows dancing across the walls, your words will have added resonance. Most bizarre magik revels in the use of antiquated relics and heirlooms. What I have tried to do here is introduce routines that use more mundane objects (a frying pan for heaven's sakes!) in the belief that it is when weird things happen to the ordinary and the everyday that people can start to feel genuinely uncomfortable. And if some of the stories contained herein make you want to smile, then by all means do! There is a good helping of black humour in some of these stories and I do hope that it will tickle your fancy! So, as the witching hour approaches, it's time to turn down the lights, stoke up the fire, and curl up with a good bizarre magik routine. Or alternatively you could always read this PDF [Show More]
