Cogentin Parkinsonian Treats symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease or s/e of other drugs (1st gen drug) Used to control tremors and stiffness of the muscles due to certain antipsychotic meds Anticholinergic – works by decreasing the effects of acetylcholine 2. Ativan; Valium (BZD) Benzodiazepine sedative hypnotic anxiolytics Used for generalized anxiety disorder Other uses include: seizure disorders, insomnia, muscle spasms, alcohol withdrawal (prevention/tx of acute symptoms), induction of anesthesia, amnesic prior to surgery or procedures 3.
