C304 Professional Roles and Values C304 C304 Professional Roles and Values Task 1 A. Nursing Theory Throughout history, there have been many influencers that have made a mark for nursesto follow.... One theory that speaks out to me is Dorothea Orem™s Self-Care Model. She expresses that self-care that is performed independently will promote and maintain personal well-being. Also, the theory explains that nurses should encourage patients to practice self- care and continue to teach patients the benefits of doing so. A further explanation of the implementation of the patient™s needs such as food, water, activity, and rest keeps the patient engaged.
