The Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) are amongst the various domains assessed and provide an understanding of how social, economic, political, legal, and material factors affect health and disease in individuals (Global Health, 2012). Social determinants include a wide variety of assessments but are narrowed down into five categories: economic stability, education, social and community context, health and health care, and neighborhood and built environment.
