University A. Reflect on the comprehensive health assessment you performed in task 1 by doing the following: 1. Discuss four evidence-based interview techniques you used to assess your patients social determinants. Frank Whadley is a 46 -year-old African American male, who is overall, a healthy male. Mr. Whadley has no significant medical history or chronic diseases at this time. He reports that Mother is has hypertension and father has type 2 diabetes. He currently is not taking any prescribed medications and reports taking an over the counter multivitamin daily. His height and weight is indicative of obesity due to his BMI being greater than 30. The BMI of 36 along with his family history of hypertension and diabetes, places him at risk for obesity, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disease. Though he genetically predisposed to developing hypertension, his modifiable risk factor would be weight management and weight loss to decrease his BMI and improve his cardiovascular health. I recommended that Mr. Whadley modify his diet and engage in a routine exercise regimen.
