CJA 444 Week 3 Discussion Question.docx Week 3 Discussion Question CJA 444 What is the difference between a team and a group? The different between a team and a group, is with a group it's formed... off of a collection of individuals that coordinate their individual efforts. On the other hand, a team is a group people that share a common team purpose along a number of challenging goals. Provide examples from your agency. Include positive and negative group or team experiences and how the negative experiences could have been corrected. Some examples are work teams, such as a work at the United States postal team, which it is both positive and negative. It is positive because we all as RCA's (Rural Carrier Assistant) have the same mission and purpose. It would be negative because everyone doesn't do their share of work, which can cause problems amongst other team members/coworkers. The way this negativity could be corrected by every team member complete their provided share of work. Now with in the criminal justice field a team would be the narcotic task force, and a group police officer. I said the narcotic task force is a team because they all share the same purpose and mission and that's is to decrease the drug activity.
