CPMGT_300_Wk3_Risk_Management_Frank_Alford_2_4_20.docx Risk Assessment CPMGT / 300 Risk Assessment Risk management is the process of risk that can potentially become problems that have a negati... ve impact on the project. There are key questions that can be asked when reviewing the project plan for possible risk. Questions such as: œWhat is missing?, œWhat can go wrong? and œIs this enough?. The project leader should be asking these questions throughout the entire span of the project. The project leader needs to write up a plan to deal with the different types of risk that the team can encounter. The team leader uses the risk response plant to define the risk, who owns it and how it should be handled. Risk Response Plan When the risk is identified then the project leader must identify the risk owner. The risk owner is the person who is responsible for handling the risk and preventing it from causing problems with the project. In most cases the risk owner is responsible for the area of the project that the risk has a chance to affect. It is possible for the project leader to appoint someone else who he might think is better qualified to handle the risk. The main goal here is to minimize the negative impact on the project as much as possible. There are a few questions that must be answered is œWhat are the chances of this actually happening?, œHow much of a negative impact can this have on the project? There are several ways in which the team leader can handle risk once one is identified and the before mentioned. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .
