Die is a successful automotive component manufacturing company located in Akron, Bloomington, and Memphis. The organization provides suspension parts and technology to both U.S. and overseas manufacturers along with other suppliers. Their goal to become the market leader in their industry has led Reynolds to embark on a joint venture with a company in Mexico called Peraltada LLC and the purchase of an organization in Vancouver, Canada, known as P.T. Tracy. Although Reynold is very profitable, their desire to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage over its rivals will require them to leverage new technology. For the organization to accomplish this, they must understand that œcompanies have largely moved from the physical to the virtual world, making it no longer necessary to have a physical appearance to compete (Peppard). Doing so will allow Reynolds to gain market share by expanding into new markets, unleash new competitive products, and lower costs of products and services.
