Levon Helm was a ... mortgage broker from Tennessee. He would go around town looking for homes that had second mortgages on them. Depending on the situation, he would end up purchasing the second mortgage for cash. He was a part of a small company and only had one other employee to help him with the bookkeeping. His employee happened to a friend of his family. Since he knew this woman for many years and trusted her, he did not check up on her or the books. Come to find out that his friend was stealing from the company over the years. She would make up phony expenses and take the cash for personal use. By the time this scam was discovered, Levon was broke and lost everything and his employee, Cindy, had to face jail time. This all could have been avoided if Cindy and Levon had a better head on their shoulders and had Jesus in their hearts. When you have accepted Jesus into your life, your whole perception and mindset changes. You now want to start doing things that are pleasing to the Lord. There are a set of rules all Christians follow and that is called the 10 Commandments found in Exodus of the bible. Two of those commandments are do not steal and do not give false testimony/lie. Cindy broke these two when she decided to steal money from her boss.
