A Code of Ethics as a resource for my paper due to it discussing important aspects of the counseling profession, such as counseling relationships, confidentiality, boundaries, and resolving ethical issues. This resource can be used to support the portion of the paper that goes over legal and ethical issues in the counseling profession. Legal ramifications can occur if the counselor does not follow the ACA Code of Ethics. Therefore, it is imperative that the counselor have a good understanding of the ACA Code of Ethics.
